Maintenance and Repairs

Please report maintenance or repairs required to Raine & Horne Hervey Bay's office immediately.

You can report this in a number of ways:

Outside of normal business hours?
Should the situation occur outside of normal business hours, please take a few minutes to assess if it is truly an emergency - an emergency situation is one that means your health, safety or security is at risk.  Please refer to your Tenancy Agreement - Part 2 Standard Terms which details the definition of emergency situations and also the procedure for arranging emergency repairs.

Should you attempt to carry out repairs or maintenance yourself without Raine & Horne's approval, and they are not done to a satisfactory standard you could be responsible for additional expenses at the end of your tenancy.

  • Has your shower routine changed or increased?

NOTE: Tenants are required to pay for unnecessary call outs.

Electricity:

Check to see if your neighbours have also lost power, and if so, contact Ergon.  Otherwise,

  • Check your safety switch which may have tripped. If so, reset the switch.
  • If it trips again, unplug all appliances from power points. Reset the safety switch and then plug in appliances one at a time until the faulty appliance is located.
  • If this does not rectify the problem please call Raine & Horne's office.

NOTE: Tenants are required to pay for call outs where a faulty appliance belonging to them has caused the problem.

Television reception:

If you are experiencing poor or no television reception, please check firstly that the fault is not your equipment.

NOTE: Tenants are required to pay for call outs where the fault is determined to be their own equipment.
