Just a Farmer is an award-winning film showcasing the heart and hardships of Australian farming life.  Internationally renowned actor Hugh Jackman has endorsed the film, which was written, produced and starred in by Leila McDougall.  The film brings together some of Australia’s finest actors, including Robert Taylor (The Matrix), Susan Prior (The Rover and Puberty Blues), Damian Walshe-Howling (Underbelly, Blue Heelers and All Saints), Trevor Jamieson (Rabbit Proof Fence and Storm Boy), Louise Siversen (The Flying Doctors and House Husbands), Eddie Baroo (Australia and The Dry) and Nathalie Morris (Bump).

Join the Rotary Club of Maryborough-Sunrise Inc.'s Australia Day Celebrations for a fantastic morning filled with good Aussie fun, great tunes and tasty tucker!
This cherished community tradition has been celebrated in Queens Park for over 20 years. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to join in the fun and laughter.  Start your day with a free bacon and egg roll from 7am (while supplies last) and enjoy a fun-filled morning of entertainment and activities.
Schedule of events:
7am: Kick off the day with a delicious community breakfast. Connect with neighbors, make new friends, and fuel up for the festivities ahead.
8am: Enjoy great entertainment by Jon Vea Vea and take part in traditional games such as egg and spoon races, thong throwing, sack races, and three-legged races. Fun for all ages!
9am: Don't miss the hilarious Celebrity Dummy Spit competition.
9.30am: Pause to honor our nation with the playing of the National Anthem and a flag-raising ceremony conducted by the Fraser District Scouts.

Cost - Bookings required. No green fees to play on rink. Spit roast feast is $10 per person or $30 per family.
Time - 11:00 from 11am for an 11.30am start for bowlers
Kick off the new year and celebrate Australia Day with a fantastic family day hosted by Burgowan Bowls Club!
Come together, make new friends, and enjoy an exciting day full of food, fun, and lawn bowls!
Whether you're new in town or a local legend, this event is the perfect chance to connect and celebrate!  Lawn bowls for all ages – Try your hand at lawn bowls! From kids to seniors, everyone can get in on the action, with prizes up for grabs and friendly help from our club coaches and life members.  Spit roast feast – Savour a mouthwatering spit roast lunch with all the trimmings – it’s our treat for the day!  Live music and entertainment – Enjoy tunes from a live musician who’ll keep the energy up and the fun rolling as we bowl, dine, and celebrate.  Kids’ fun zone – Kids can join junior lawn bowls and fun games with prizes, certificates, and special gift bags filled with goodies (coloring books, pencils, and more!). Prizes for everyone – Hit the green for a chance to win exciting prizes like meat vouchers, fruit and veggie baskets, chocolates, wine, and more. Plus, every young bowler gets a treat just for participating!
